Sport fishing or angling has seasons .These are set by countries or areas to let anglers know what sort of fish can be caught when . Fishing seasons are enforced to maintain ecological balance . They are also used to protect species of fish during their reproducing ( or spawning ) period during which time they are easier to catch.
